Seamless process chain from the parametric model to the production data due to the "Digital Detail"

The new visitor center of the dinosaur park Kleinwelka near Bautzen consists of 3 fused steel domes with a covering of foil cushions. Deviating from the steel construction details specified in the tender, str.ucture worked with design-to-production to develop a node that took account of the fact that all the bar lengths and angles between the bars were different due to the design. This new digital detail was optimized and could ultimately be produced and assembled more economically than the conventional specification.
