The five-story new building of the Waldkraiburg town hall is designed as a hybrid timber construction founded on a basement made of reinforced concrete. In the construction, both a high degree of prefabrication and therefore a short construction time as well as CO2-neutral materials are taken into account. The concept provides as little concrete as necessary and as much timber as possible. In the case of the building components, which are required in reinforced concrete for structural, physical or durability reasons, a high proportion of recycled materials is used.
